Eligibility

World Stage Online Music Competition | WSOMC is open to musicians of all nationalities

Instruments:

  • Classic Vocal: Soprano, Alto, Tenor, Baritone, Bass
  • Piano
  • Strings: Violin, Viola, Cello, Double Bass, Classical Guitar, Harp
  • Woodwinds: Bassoon, Clarinet, Flute, Oboe, Saxophone
  • Brass: French Horn, Trombone, Trumpet, Tuba
  • Percussion: Marimba, Xylophone, Vibraphone
  • Folk Music
  • Chamber Music
Age Category
  • Category I (5-7 years old)
  • Category II (8-9 years old)
  • Category III (10-12 years old)
  • Category IV (13-15 years old)
  • Category V (16-18 years old)
  • Category VI (19 years and older)
Repertoire

Applicants are free to choose repertoire of:
I (5-7 years old) – up to 5 minutes
II (8-9 years old) – up to 7 minutes
III (10-12 years old) – up to 10 minutes
IV (13-15 years old) – up to 13 minutes
V (16-18 years old) – up to 17 minutes
VI (19 years old and older) – up to 25 minutes

Schedule

May 20th – Free Entry deadline

May 22nd – Results of the First Round

May 22nd – Final Round application start date

May 24th – Deadline for the Final Round application form and fee

June 1st – Announcement of the Final Round results

Application process

The World Stage Online Music Competition has 2 rounds.
The competition is fully online.

  • First Round: Applicant must submit the Free Entry application form. The form must be submitted until May 20th, 2024, 23:59h
  • Final Round: After getting the results of the first round, the final round application will be opened on May 22nd, right after the First Round results. The selected participants should submit the Final Round application and application fee. The deadline for the submissions of the Final Round application form and fee is May 24th, 2024.

Chamber Music application fee – €142
If the participant wants to participate in multiple instrument categories, a separate application should be submitted per each category.

Video recording

The recording should be in video format, with clear audio.
Both hands and face of the applicant should be visible.
Audio of the recording must be not edited.
Video must be submitted via YouTube Link.

Judging

Entries will be judged based on musicality, technique and overall performance.
The names of the jury are undisclosed for impartial judging and privacy reasons.
The decision of the jury is final and cannot be appealed.

Announcement of the winners

The participants will be notified about their results through email on June 1st, 2024.
The diplomas will be sent via email.

Disqualification

Any attempt of engaging the competition in any form of manipulation and/or unfair practices will lead to immediate disqualification.
